Case Study - Red Funnel Ferries

Red Funnel Ferries run an established and mature Food Safety System. This operates across all their onshore and on board catering facilities which are subject to the usual rigorous inspection and regulation. To further enhance their opportunities for improvement in this area they have requested regular unannounced audits of their system over and above their internal audit program and the external inspection regime. Their approach demonstrates their drive for improvement beyond legislative requirements and the value they place on the “extra pair of eyes” approach in driving improvement.

Case Study - Quality & Food Safety system review

A root and branch review of group and site quality and food safety system structure was undertaken for an international ingredient manufacturer supplying the food and beverage industries. This resulted in the launch of a rejuvenated food safety system based on ISO22000 and PAS 220, with defined Group documents featuring guidance and instruction together with site controlled documents closer to the processes. This enabled the manufacturing sites to concentrate on manufacturing efficiently while the Group organisation dealt with technical issues and ensuring that the sites have the information they require to manufacture legally, safely and efficiently.
